Do you remember 7 years ago? Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when you first heard the news or saw the images on t.v. of burning towers or seeing planes flying into buildings? When the buildings collapsed? When there was fear everwhere of the unknown and what would come next? The loss of innocent lives?
Do you also remember what followed?
There came a swell of patriotism and God Bless America! There was the discovery of brave and heroic people who gave their lives so that others could live. Yes, there was sadness and mourning but a strength that grew in this country that had been lost for a long time. There was unity and a resolve that yes we are the United States of America and we will come through this and stand together. We will rebuild. This day forever changed our country in the way we think and live.
Today, let's remember what happened. Let's come together to pray for our country and the people who call this home. This is our country. It seems as time passes that we tend to forget, that somehow it wasn't as bad as we thought it was. Let's stop bickering and fighting. Let's pray and love one another.
Remember, that God loves you and understands sorrow and pain. Do you realize He sent His One and Only Son as the ultimate sacrifice to die so that we can live? In this day that many will take time to remember what happened 7 years ago, take time to reflect on your own life. How are things in your life? Is it well with you?
