Staying Peaceful
By Pastor David Larson
Summer has ended and all the activities and busyness of the fall has begun. Does it seem like time has sped up and things around us are going faster and faster? Some say that's a sign of old age! The older we get the faster life goes. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of everyday life it's easy to be running here and there from activity to activity. Getting a household ready for school and yourself ready for work. The day begins, you're off and running and before you know it, the day is over, you put your head on the pillow, shut your eyes and the next moment it seems the alarm has gone off and you're off and running again. On a side note. Did you ever notice that your bed seems the most comfortable and the right temperature just as the alarm goes?!!

The scripture for today talks about perfect peace. It doesn't say when things have slowed down around us or circumstances have changed, it just says the Lord will keep us in perfect peace. What's the catch? A steadfast mind and trusting in Him. It's important to begin our day yielding and committing fresh and new to Jesus. Is He your Lord? Then follow and do whatever He says. The Holy Spirit will strengthen and empower you for each day's tasks and not only that, He will guide and direct you in what to do.

It doesn't necessarily slow things down but it does make life an adventure! As we're being led by the Spirit then we can be alert to all kinds of Kingdom opportunities and Divine appointments. Listen to Him and then look for those open doors to minister to everyone you meet today! What a difference it makes as we follow and obey the King!

Have an awesome day!
