By Pastor David Larson Do you know there is a "file" with information about every area of your life? It contains everything ever known about you and much more. Not only your birthdate, social security number and other details but it contains information of things you've done both good and bad. It is full of everything you've ever thought, spoken or done. What if the information in your private file was made public? What would you do? Do you know that file can be erased?
You might be wondering what file, I'm talking about. It's the file kept in heaven in God's filing system. He knows everything about you even how many hairs you have on your head. For some it's not as many as others!!
The thing about this file is that our thoughts, words and actions are all recorded. You probably can picture it like a very sophisticated recording system that will be seen and heard. Remember those things you've thought that you never want anyone to find out? They're recorded. What about the things you've done when no one was looking? Yep, they're there too! Oh, oh!
That all is kind of a scary thought until, you realize there's a way to erase the file! Really? Yes! It's called confessing your sins and turning from them. There are probably a number of things coming to mind right now as you've been reading this. Start with those and go before your Heavenly Dad and say, "Dad, I've sinned against You. Here's a specific...." Then tell Him and ask Him to forgive you. Then He erases that part of your file. He says in His Word, "As far as the east is from the west, that far have I removed your sins from you." "I will remember your sins no more!"
Try to begin each morning with a clean slate or even when you go to sleep at night, ask Him to show you any areas or things that need to be dealt with and He will. He's faithful!
